About Pace University

Pace University, often abbreviated Pace, is a private, metropolitan, co-educational institution, founded in 1906 by two brothers, Homer S. Pace and Charles A. Pace, as Preparatory School, which was given in 1948 college status, in 1973 Pace receiving university status from the State Education Department. The university has three campuses, one in New York City, one in Westchester and another in White Plains, offering exceptional undergraduate and graduate programs for its students through six academic divisions: Dyson College of Arts and Sciences, Lienhard School of Nursing, Lubin School of Business, School of Education, Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems, and School of Law.

Pace University is a member of Project Pericles, a non-profit organization that encourages liberal arts colleges and universities to guide towards the idea that social responsibility and participatory citizenship are essential parts of the students' education, in the classroom, on campus, and in the community.

Pace University's athletic teams are called The Setters, which compete in Division II of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), as members of Northeast Ten Conference, and Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC), in several sports, for both men and women. Their official colors are blue and gold and their mascot's name is Setter.
